How do I apply for an internship?
For summer internship opportunities, please visit our Paid Internships page.
Am required to complete a training first?
If you are a first-time applicant, we strongly suggest applying for Job Readiness Training. Students who complete this training earn a $125 stipend.
Do I need a resume and cover letter to apply?
You do not need a resume before you apply for an internship. However, if you have a resume, you should upload it in your Internship Application!
Resumes offer us an idea of your experience and skills so that we can match you with an ideal internship experience.
To get started on resume building, please consider participating in our Job Readiness Training workshops.
I am not sure how busy I will be this summer. Should I still apply?
Our Internship Application will ask you to provide an estimate of your summer schedule.
We want interns to attend and work for the entire period of the internship, but we understand if there are personal events or emergencies.
Who should I go to for help with paperwork?
We have paperwork sessions in schools and at our Career Lab.

How much will I be paid?
Interns are paid $20/hr for their work and participation in an internship.

What are the required professional development trainings?
Every intern is required to attend professional development workshops along with their specific internship-related work.
Professional development workshops happen once a week throughout your internship.
What internships will I be placed in?
Internships are offered based on different factors. It depends on your internship application, your work interests, and available spots for placement.
If you are unable to be placed in your top choice, we encourage you to apply again in the future!

How do companies or organizations host an internship?
Enterprise for Youth is always excited to work with new partners to offer professional experiences to young people.
We strive to meet the interests of our young people by providing internships in the arts, healthcare, climate work, and more.

How should I prepare to be a host?
We work with hosts to create an ideal internship experience that will develop our youths’ professional skills as they assist with specific site needs.
Before internship season, our staff plans professional goals, develop curricula, and form professional expectations for youth.
