Interested in launching a career in healthcare? Recent high school graduates are encouraged to apply for the Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Sciences Medical Assistant (MA) Program. Acadia's summer internship program
Acadia Pharmaceuticals offers a 10–12 week paid Summer Internship Program running from mid-June to late August 2026, providing students with hands-on experience in the life sciences industry. Interns can explore multiple fields including Research & Development (R&D), Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology (IT), and Manufacturing/Operations. This hybrid program requires a 40-hour work week with three days in the office and focuses on helping students build professional skills, strengthen their resumes, expand their networks, and contribute to meaningful projects. Selected candidates will complete 1–3 video interviews and a background check as part of the hiring process.

SF. gov offers a variety of currently open opportunities, including jobs, internships, scholarships, and programs that are accepting applications. It is organized into three sections based on age eligibility: opportunities for youth ages 14–24, 16–24, and 18–24.

New Door Ventures Employment Program
This is a year-round Employment Program application offered by New Door Ventures that helps Bay Area youth (ages 17–24) build job skills, gain paid work experience, and prepare for future careers or education. The program includes workshops, one-on-one coaching, and a paid internship where participants work 12–15 hours per week while receiving support in communication, job readiness, and life skills. To be eligible, applicants must be 17–24 years old, motivated to work and learn, able to commit to a 6-month program, and have stable housing and conversational English skills, with priority given to low-income youth and those facing employment challenges. The program is not open to individuals who are currently incarcerated, recently released, or dealing with active substance use issues that affect work readiness. Applications are accepted year-round.

Opportunities for All - Pathways to Economic Inclusion for Youth
This is a paid internship program offered by JCYC for high school students, youth, and young adults ages 13–24 who live in or attend school in San Francisco. The program provides hands-on work experience with city departments and community partners, helping participants build job skills, explore career pathways, and gain professional experience. The summer application is currently open with a rolling deadline of April 10, 2026, though applications are still being accepted, so interested participants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Interns are paid hourly, with wages varying depending on the placement site, allowing participants to earn income while gaining valuable work experience.

Rising Sun Center for Opportunity – Join Climate Careers
This is a paid workforce opportunity for youth ages 15–24+ across the Bay Area, offering various roles such as Energy Specialists, Energy Specialist Drivers, Leaders in Field Training, and Summer Program Managers in cities like San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and more. Participants gain hands-on experience helping make communities more sustainable through Green House Calls and related climate and energy-efficiency work. The program includes a summer session (June 15–August 3, 2026) and fall externships (August 4–November 20, 2026), with pay ranging from about $20.50/hour for summer roles to $22.50/hour for fall part-time positions (8–20 hours/week). BAYAC AmeriCorps is recruiting Student Success Coaches for the August 2026 to July 2027 service term, offering multiple opportunities for individuals interested in supporting students, gaining professional experience, and serving with community-based organizations across San Francisco and the East Bay. 3279-Recreation Leader
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department is hiring for several Recreation Leader positions to support and lead recreation, sports, arts, cultural, and community programs for children, teens, and adults. Depending on the assigned level, Recreation Leaders may assist with program operations, teach and supervise activities, or lead certified recreation and sports programs. Responsibilities include organizing classes and activities, supervising participants, taking attendance, preparing materials and equipment, setting up and breaking down tables and supplies, maintaining safe and engaging environments, completing paperwork, and providing customer service. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 500 hours of recreation or instructional experience, while Levels II and III require an additional 500 hours of related experience. Level III applicants must also hold certifications required for specialized recreation or sports programs, and some college or recreation-related coursework may substitute for part of the experience requirement.

The Aveda Institute San Francisco is offering a $6,000 scholarship to all Enterprise For Youth young people who enroll in the Cosmetology, Esthiology, or Barbering programs.
The Aveda Institute, trains their students with the skills to thrive in the beauty industry while teaching environmental sustainability, creating a team of inspired, artistic, and prepared future beauty and wellness professionals.

ScholarMatch Destined for College San Francisco Program
Destined for College San Francisco (DCSF) is a free program from ScholarMatch that helps first-generation high school seniors in the San Francisco Bay Area prepare for college. Students work with virtual coaches to explore college options, complete applications, write personal statements, apply for scholarships, and understand financial aid. Eligible students must live in the SF Bay Area, have at least a 2.0 GPA, meet income guidelines, and be the first in their families to attend college. Students who meet program milestones are eligible to apply for the Scholars Program college scholarship and success program. The application deadline is September 18, 2026.

Lennar Bayview Hunters Point Legacy Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship supports students from San Francisco’s Bayview Hunters Point (94124, 94134, 94107) who are pursuing a college or vocational/technical program and demonstrate financial need based on household income limits. Applicants must submit transcripts (or GED) and recent tax documents to verify eligibility. Awards range from $1,000 to $6,000, and the application deadline is June 3, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

Discover Swarthmore Fly-In Program
Discover Swarthmore is a fly-in program for rising high school seniors in the United States, including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and undocumented/DACA students. The program is designed to support students who may not be able to visit campus without financial assistance, particularly first-generation college students, low-income students, and students from rural or small towns. Selected students participate in a multi-day on-campus experience that includes meeting current students and professors, attending classes, dining on campus, and staying in college dormitories. All program-related expenses are covered by Swarthmore College. To be considered, students must complete an online application and submit their end-of-junior-year high school transcript.
The application deadline is June 15, 2026.

MCK Scholarship Program
The MCK Scholarship Program awards up to $2,500 to students from San Francisco’s Hunters Point/Bayview, Tenderloin, or Treasure Island neighborhoods to help pay for tuition, books, supplies, and other college expenses. Eligible applicants must be at least 30% African American, come from a non-conventional household such as a single-parent or grandparent-led home, and be accepted or planning to apply to college. HER PROMISE, INC. $500 Book Scholarship Application
This scholarship supports young women beginning college in Fall 2026. Applicants must identify as female, live in the United States, and plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university. Requirements include a completed application form, proof of college acceptance or enrollment, one recommendation letter (teacher, counselor, mentor, coach, church leader, etc.), and a 300–500 word essay on how they plan to use their education to impact their community. Applicants may also include extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership involvement. Applications are due 6/30/2026, and the winner will be announced on 7/18/2026.

Yerba Buena Gardens Conservancy Carousel Staff
Yerba Buena Gardens Conservancy is seeking new Carousel Staff. This is a part-time, on-call position that reports to the Services Manager of the Conservancy. This position helps create and build the synergies necessary for the Conservancy to thrive and succeed, both internally and externally, while exercising critical thinking. Some of the job responsibilities for this position include providing friendly and helpful service to guests, maintaining knowledge of current events taking place at YBGC, handling challenging situations with a high level of professionalism, and completing maintenance and cleaning tasks. The pay for this position is $24 per hour. Applicants must be 18 years old or older, have basic math skills, and be able to follow written instructions. Applicants should also have basic CPR certification and the ability to handle digital payments or cash transactions using a POS (Point of Sale) system. Applicants who are 18 or older and will supervise others must be fingerprinted and complete a Department of Justice (DOJ) background check before starting work.

Community Stewardship & Engagement Internships
The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy is currently recruiting new interns for its Community Stewardship & Engagement Team. The team is hiring two Community Engagement Interns, one Gardens Intern, and one Stewardship Intern. Each internship is a full-time, six month position that pays $32 per hour. Some key responsibilities include assisting with the planning and facilitation of volunteer and community programs, supporting the development and implementation of educational and interpretive activities, and tracking and reporting participant and program data. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and either a high school diploma or relevant work experience.

Through classroom instruction and on-the-job learning, the program equips students with marketable skills and a competitive edge, offering a strong pathway whether you’re entering the trades or advancing your career. Giants 50/50 Raffle Team Member
The Giants Community Fund is seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to serve as 50/50 Raffle Team Members during Giants home games. Team members work 4–5 hour shifts with a flexible schedule and are responsible for representing the Giants Community Fund in a professional manner and selling and distributing raffle tickets using an electronic handheld device. This role is a great opportunity to build customer service and sales skills. San Francisco Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee
This apprenticeship provides hands-on training under a Journeyworker Electrician, performing tasks such as climbing ladders, scaffolds, poles, and towers; crawling and working in confined spaces like attics and manholes; crouching; and handling color-coded wiring indoors and outdoors. Apprentices must have mechanical ability, finger dexterity, and be able to read, hear, and follow instructions. Applicants must be 18+, U.S. citizens (or meet INS requirements), and reside in one of the nine Bay Area counties with proof of residence. Required documents include a photo ID, proof of high school completion (or equivalent) or a two-year Associate degree or higher, and evidence of Algebra, Calculus, or Trigonometry with a C grade or higher (one year of high school, one semester post-high school, or completion of the online Tech Math course at https://www.skillsprep.org/login/index.php

Transit Campaign Volunteer – Connect Bay Area & Stronger Muni for All
Connect Bay Area and Stronger Muni for All, in partnership with SPUR, are seeking volunteers (18+) to support their 2026 ballot measure campaigns across San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. Volunteers will engage with the public to collect petition signatures from registered voters, briefly explain the measures, and submit completed petitions on time. These campaigns aim to secure long-term funding for regional transit systems including Bay Area Rapid Transit, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, Caltrain, and AC Transit. No prior experience is required; volunteers will receive a short training and all necessary materials, including petitions, instructions, and talking points. Flexible opportunities are available weekly for those interested in supporting public transit and civic engagement.

Connect Bay Area Paid Gatherer Program
Connect Bay Area is hiring paid signature gatherers, the applicants must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S. Main responsibilities is collect petition signatures in support of a transit funding measure; this flexible, part-time role pays $23–$30 per hour (based on performance) for up to 29 hours per week, and requires gatherers to average 10 signatures per hour, aim for at least 40 signatures most weeks, track and report daily hours, upload photos of completed signature packets to the system, and submit weekly timesheets and materials by the end of day Sunday, with payment issued every Thursday

Black and BIPOC Early Educator Pre-Apprenticeship Program
The Adult Pathway of the Black and BIPOC Early Educator Pre-Apprenticeship Program is a San Francisco program that prepares young adults for careers in early childhood education. Participants receive training toward an Assistant Teacher Permit, earn college credits with tuition covered, and get academic and career support. Applicants must be ages 18 to 24 and interested in working in early childhood education. Applications are due in early spring 2026.

LYRIC Youth Ambassadors
LYRIC offers paid internships all year and invites young people to fill out a form if they are interested. The Youth Ambassadors program is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual youth and allies, where participants build job skills, work on projects related to their goals, and help run LYRIC programs. The program takes place in set cohorts, with dates shared once they are confirmed. Interns work about 10 hours a week, Monday through Friday for two hours each day, and are paid an hourly wage. The internship location is shared only with those who are selected.

Construction Administration Professional Services Academy (CAPSA)
This is a free 18-week training program for San Francisco residents interested in careers in construction administration and professional services. Participants receive training in Microsoft Office, construction management, communication, job readiness, and professional workplace skills while also connecting with local employers and career opportunities. To qualify, applicants must live in San Francisco, be authorized to work in the U.S., have basic computer skills, English proficiency, and a typing speed of 25–30 WPM. Upcoming online orientations will take place on June 5, 2026 and July 3, 2026. Applicants are required to complete both an orientation and a 1-week Job Readiness Training (JRT) program before entering the academy. Multiple JRT sessions are offered throughout the year. Native Youth Internship Program
REAP Climate Center is offering a paid internship for native youth ages 18–24 who live in San Francisco and are interested in community outreach, social media, climate and environmental work, landscaping, campus support, construction, and facilities projects. Interns will receive a $2,000 stipend for completing 90 hours of work while gaining hands-on experience and professional development opportunities. The program is prioritizing San Francisco residents and is looking for applicants who are interested in teamwork, community engagement, and hands-on environmental or climate-related projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no specific deadline, and interested applicants may apply at any time until all internship positions are filled.

The Broad’s Diversity Apprenticeship Program
This is a paid 9-month full-time apprenticeship that trains participants in art handling and museum preparation, including packing, moving, and installing artwork, while providing hands-on experience at museums and partner sites. The program is open to anyone 18 and older authorized to work in the U.S., especially individuals from underrepresented communities, and no previous experience is required. Applicants should be able to lift 50 pounds, work full-time, and follow instructions. Applicants are paid $20 per hour with medical, dental, and vision benefits included. Camp Assistant (3264) - Camp Mather 2026 (Outside of San Francisco) - Rec & Parks
This is a seasonal, temporary job focused on supporting camp operations, primarily in the kitchen and dining areas. The job offers multiple seasonal work phases: Early Crew (April 19–May 16), High Season (May 17–August 15), and Wrap-Up Crew (August 16–September 25), with priority given to applicants available for High Season plus at least one additional phase. The position pays $26.275 per hour, and it is open to applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent and required food handler certification for kitchen roles. Larkin Street Youth Services Case Manager II
Larkin Street Youth Services is hiring a full-time Case Manager II in San Francisco to provide strength-based case management and support services for transitional-aged youth experiencing homelessness, primarily ages 18–24. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating service plans, connecting clients to housing and benefits, providing crisis intervention, teaching life skills, maintaining records, coordinating with community providers, and supporting youth in shelter, housing, and drop-in center settings throughout San Francisco. Eligible applicants should be passionate about ending youth homelessness, have some social services or case management experience, work well in a team environment, and feel comfortable working onsite with diverse young adults. Preferred qualifications include experience in shelter, drop-in, or supportive housing programs, willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a valid driver’s license. The position pays $28/hour plus a bilingual incentive for Spanish speakers and includes full benefits, including healthcare, paid holidays, retirement matching, commuter benefits, and paid vacation.

Next Black Education Workforce (NBEW) Resident Teacher
The Next Black Educator Workforce (NBEW) program through Project Sankofa is a one- to two-year graduate and teacher credentialing pathway designed for current or soon-to-be college graduates who are passionate about social justice, culturally responsive teaching, and supporting Black students in racially isolated communities. Participants gain hands-on classroom experience as teacher assistants or paraprofessionals in middle and high school settings while completing a teaching credential and/or graduate degree through a partnering university. The program includes mentorship, professional development focused on restorative justice and equitable teaching practices, financial and career planning support, networking opportunities, and leadership development. Eligible applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, demonstrate a commitment to inclusive learning environments, and be willing to actively participate in coursework, mentorship, and professional development sessions while maintaining good academic and professional standing. Employment placements are provided through partner schools or districts rather than directly through Project Sankofa. National Youth Employment Coalition Youth Interviews – Experiences with Apprenticeship Pathways
The National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC) is seeking young adults ages 18–30 to participate in a paid youth interview about their experiences with apprenticeship pathways. Selected participants will take part in a 30-minute one-on-one interview to share their perspectives on education, training, and career opportunities, with information being used anonymously to help inform workforce and apprenticeship policy recommendations. Participants who complete the interview will receive a $75 gift card for their time. This is not a job or internship, but a paid opportunity to share your experiences and contribute to research that supports youth employment programs. There is no specific application deadline listed, so interested applicants are encouraged to complete the brief 5–7 minute survey as soon as possible. This opportunity is open to youth ages 18 and older (up to age 30).

Recreation Leader - Camp Mather Summer 2026
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department is hiring seasonal/summer Recreation Leaders to support recreation, sports, arts, cultural, and community programs for children, teens, and adults. Depending on the position level, Recreation Leaders may assist with program activities, teach classes, supervise participants, organize recreational programs, maintain attendance records, prepare materials and equipment, and help create a safe and engaging environment. Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and at least 500 hours of recreation experience delivering programs or instruction (additional experience and certifications may be required for higher-level positions). Pay ranges from $26.28 to $35.39 per hour depending on the level and step. Applications are being accepted immediately and will remain open at least through February 13, 2026, but the recruitment may close at any time after that date, so interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Success Centers YASE Program for Young Adults 18-24
The Success Centers Young Adult Subsidized Employment (YASE) Program is a paid workforce development opportunity for Transitional-Aged Youth (TAY) ages 18–24 that helps young adults gain career skills, explore career pathways, and build work experience through subsidized internships. Participants may be placed at host sites in the public or private sector or within Success Centers and can receive up to 500 hours of paid training and work experience aligned with their interests and career goals. The program also provides career assessments, resume preparation, interview skills training, job fairs, employer spotlights, job placement assistance, life skills development, health and wellness workshops, financial literacy education, support groups, marketable skills training, and college preparation support. To participate, youth must be between 18 and 24 years old, complete the intake and assessment process, and participate in Success Centers’ Job Readiness Training (JRT) Program. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so interested youth are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Clinic by the Bay Volunteer
Clinic by the Bay, is now looking for new volunteers! Volunteers are essential to the mission of Clinic by the Bay, providing compassionate, high-quality health care for low-income, uninsured adults while supporting meaningful civic engagement. This opportunity is open to individuals 18 years and older who can commit to at least six consecutive months, including two 4-hour shifts per month during the first three months of training, at least one shift per month after training, and three in-person training shifts. Volunteers must provide proof of a TB test within the last six months and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. No prior experience is required for roles such as reception, prescription assistance, and community outreach. Licensed medical providers and nurses must submit a valid California license, and providers must also agree to a background check.

Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center is seeking volunteers for patient-centered opportunities that support patients, families, and staff in the health and medical field, with a required 1-year commitment. Volunteers must be 16 years or older, available weekdays and/or weekends (daytime or evenings), and able to commit a few hours per week. Training, orientation, and a background check are required. Opportunities include Hospital Elder Life Program (18+), Geriatric Emergency Department Support (18+), Care Experience Rounding, Pet Therapy (with a certified therapy animal), Falls Prevention and Quality, Information Desk and Guest Services, Outpatient Physical Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery, and Comfort Care Cart & Kindness Crew, offering meaningful ways to gain healthcare experience and make a positive impact.

San Francisco Youth Leadership Expo
The SF Youth Leadership Expo is a Bay Area gathering for student leaders, changemakers, and community builders. Join us on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1 PM – 5 PM at the SPUR Building for an afternoon of leadership, networking, and hands-on learning. Attendees will hear from guest speakers, participate in interactive workshops, connect with 20+ community organizations, and gain practical skills in leadership, advocacy, outreach, fundraising, and social media growth. CHEFS Culinary Training Program
CHEFS Culinary Training Program is a 12-week training program that helps participants build foundational kitchen skills, earn a Food Handlers Certification, and prepare for jobs in the food service industry. Participants may also receive a weekly stipend while completing the program, and eligible individuals gain hands-on experience to support their pathway into culinary employment. There is no specific deadline to apply and the program accepts participants year round.

Fillmore Community Action Plan Workshop: Placemaking & Culture
This free event will take place on June 4 from 5:00–8:00 PM at the African American Arts & Culture Complex (762 Fulton Street, San Francisco, CA 94102), with doors opening at 5:00 PM and the program starting at 5:30 PM. Community members, City staff, and local partners will come together to share input that will help shape future investments in housing, workforce development, and especially arts, culture, and placemaking.
