Discover Swarthmore Fly-In Program
Discover Swarthmore is a fly-in program for rising high school seniors in the United States, including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and undocumented/DACA students. The program is designed to support students who may not be able to visit campus without financial assistance, particularly first-generation college students, low-income students, and students from rural or small towns. Selected students participate in a multi-day on-campus experience that includes meeting current students and professors, attending classes, dining on campus, and staying in college dormitories. All program-related expenses are covered by Swarthmore College. To be considered, students must complete an online application and submit their end-of-junior-year high school transcript.
The application deadline is June 15, 2026.

Acadia's summer internship program
Acadia Pharmaceuticals offers a 10–12 week paid Summer Internship Program running from mid-June to late August 2026, providing students with hands-on experience in the life sciences industry. Interns can explore multiple fields including Research & Development (R&D), Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology (IT), and Manufacturing/Operations. This hybrid program requires a 40-hour work week with three days in the office and focuses on helping students build professional skills, strengthen their resumes, expand their networks, and contribute to meaningful projects. Selected candidates will complete 1–3 video interviews and a background check as part of the hiring process.

Opportunities for Youth Ages 14-24
SF. gov offers a variety of currently open opportunities, including jobs, internships, scholarships, and programs that are accepting applications. It is organized into three sections based on age eligibility: opportunities for youth ages 14–24, 16–24, and 18–24.

New Door Ventures Employment Program
This is a year-round Employment Program application offered by New Door Ventures that helps Bay Area youth (ages 17–24) build job skills, gain paid work experience, and prepare for future careers or education. The program includes workshops, one-on-one coaching, and a paid internship where participants work 12–15 hours per week while receiving support in communication, job readiness, and life skills. To be eligible, applicants must be 17–24 years old, motivated to work and learn, able to commit to a 6-month program, and have stable housing and conversational English skills, with priority given to low-income youth and those facing employment challenges. The program is not open to individuals who are currently incarcerated, recently released, or dealing with active substance use issues that affect work readiness. Applications are accepted year-round.

GIRLFLY Summer Art & Activism Program
GIRLFLY is a free 4-week summer arts and activism program in San Francisco for youth ages 14–21 who identify as young women or gender nonconforming (GNC) and are interested in dance, creativity, and social change. Participants work with professional choreographers and teaching artists to create original aerial and site-specific dance performances, learn body percussion and voice work, and explore themes of freedom, identity, and community through performance and activism. The program runs July 6 to July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday from 10:00am to 3:00pm, with two required final performances on July 30. Youth also take part in workshops, community building activities, and guest artist sessions, and receive a $550 stipend for completing the program. The application deadline is May 15, 2026, with rolling acceptance, and applicants are encouraged to apply early.

The Aveda Institute San Francisco is offering a $6,000 scholarship to all Enterprise For Youth young people who enroll in the Cosmetology, Esthiology, or Barbering programs.
The Aveda Institute, trains their students with the skills to thrive in the beauty industry while teaching environmental sustainability, creating a team of inspired, artistic, and prepared future beauty and wellness professionals.

ScholarMatch Destined for College San Francisco Program
Destined for College San Francisco (DCSF) is a free program from ScholarMatch that helps first-generation high school seniors in the San Francisco Bay Area prepare for college. Students work with virtual coaches to explore college options, complete applications, write personal statements, apply for scholarships, and understand financial aid. Eligible students must live in the SF Bay Area, have at least a 2.0 GPA, meet income guidelines, and be the first in their families to attend college. Students who meet program milestones are eligible to apply for the Scholars Program college scholarship and success program. The application deadline is September 18, 2026.

GMiS Scholars Program
The GMiS Scholars Program supports students pursuing STEM or health-related degrees by offering scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 for merit-based awards and $500 to $1,000 for non-merit awards. To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate strong academic achievement in STEM along with leadership and service through campus and/or community involvement, be enrolled full-time or part-time in a STEM or health-related program at an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university in the U.S. or its territories for the upcoming fall semester, and meet a minimum GPA of 3.0 for merit-based scholarships (or at least 2.5 for select non-merit awards). Applicants who have already earned and are seeking the same level of degree again (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral) are not eligible. To apply, students must complete the online GMiS STEM Scholarship Application and submit a personal statement, resume, letters of recommendation, official transcript(s), and a photo, with all materials due by 11:59 PM PST on May 8, 2026.

Sallie offers a $2,000 monthly scholarship to help students and families support college costs. Eligible applicants must be U.S. residents (50 states, D.C., or territories), age 16+, and meet one of the following: current college students, high school juniors/seniors planning to enroll in college within a year, or parents of students in college or high school juniors/seniors. One winner is selected each month. The Deadline for this opportunity is April 30, 2026.

Carnegie Young Leaders for Civic Preparedness
Carnegie Young Leaders for Civic Preparedness is a U.S.-based youth leadership program for young people ages 14–24 that brings together teams of five to design and lead community projects addressing issues such as mental health, misinformation, public health, climate, immigration, and education; selected teams receive up to $7,500 in funding along with a year of coaching, training, and access to a national peer network to help them build civic skills like collaboration, using credible information, and having productive conversations while creating real community impact by reaching at least 75 people in person or 300 online, and the application deadline is May 4, 2026.

Lennar Bayview Hunters Point Legacy Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship supports students from San Francisco’s Bayview Hunters Point (94124, 94134, 94107) who are pursuing a college or vocational/technical program and demonstrate financial need based on household income limits. Applicants must submit transcripts (or GED) and recent tax documents to verify eligibility. Awards range from $1,000 to $6,000, and the application deadline is June 3, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

They offer various job opportunities and training programs, including in-demand career tracks such as Cybersecurity, Human Resources, Project Management, UX Design, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Planning, and IT Support. Along the way, the individuals will receive one-on-one coaching, personalized job search support, and access to additional resources to ensure their success. On average, program completer see wage gains of more than $20,000 per year, creating real opportunities for lasting economic mobility.

Yerba Buena Gardens Conservancy Carousel Staff
Yerba Buena Gardens Conservancy is seeking new Carousel Staff. This is a part-time, on-call position that reports to the Services Manager of the Conservancy. This position helps create and build the synergies necessary for the Conservancy to thrive and succeed, both internally and externally, while exercising critical thinking. Some of the job responsibilities for this position include providing friendly and helpful service to guests, maintaining knowledge of current events taking place at YBGC, handling challenging situations with a high level of professionalism, and completing maintenance and cleaning tasks. The pay for this position is $24 per hour. Applicants must be 18 years old or older, have basic math skills, and be able to follow written instructions. Applicants should also have basic CPR certification and the ability to handle digital payments or cash transactions using a POS (Point of Sale) system. Applicants who are 18 or older and will supervise others must be fingerprinted and complete a Department of Justice (DOJ) background check before starting work.

Community Stewardship & Engagement Internships
The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy is currently recruiting new interns for its Community Stewardship & Engagement Team. The team is hiring two Community Engagement Interns, one Gardens Intern, and one Stewardship Intern. Each internship is a full-time, six month position that pays $32 per hour. Some key responsibilities include assisting with the planning and facilitation of volunteer and community programs, supporting the development and implementation of educational and interpretive activities, and tracking and reporting participant and program data. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and either a high school diploma or relevant work experience.
All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
The internship term runs from February through July.

CityBuild Academy Pre-apprenticeship program
CityBuild Academy is San Francisco’s premier 12-week pre-apprenticeship program, empowering local residents to launch successful careers in the city’s rapidly growing construction industry by combining hands-on training with a rigorous academic curriculum that provides the technical skills, industry knowledge, and real-world experience needed to excel. Through classroom instruction and on-the-job learning, the program equips students with marketable skills and a competitive edge, offering a strong pathway whether you’re entering the trades or advancing your career. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license with a three-year driving record, hold a high school diploma or GED, live in San Francisco, demonstrate 8th-grade–level proficiency on a basic skills test, and be able to lift 70 lbs.

The Giants Community Fund is seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to serve as 50/50 Raffle Team Members during Giants home games. Team members work 4–5 hour shifts with a flexible schedule and are responsible for representing the Giants Community Fund in a professional manner and selling and distributing raffle tickets using an electronic handheld device. This role is a great opportunity to build customer service and sales skills. San Francisco Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee
This apprenticeship provides hands-on training under a Journeyworker Electrician, performing tasks such as climbing ladders, scaffolds, poles, and towers; crawling and working in confined spaces like attics and manholes; crouching; and handling color-coded wiring indoors and outdoors. Apprentices must have mechanical ability, finger dexterity, and be able to read, hear, and follow instructions. Applicants must be 18+, U.S. citizens (or meet INS requirements), and reside in one of the nine Bay Area counties with proof of residence. Required documents include a photo ID, proof of high school completion (or equivalent) or a two-year Associate degree or higher, and evidence of Algebra, Calculus, or Trigonometry with a C grade or higher (one year of high school, one semester post-high school, or completion of the online Tech Math course at https://www.skillsprep.org/login/index.php
Applicants must complete the online application, be able to safely perform job duties, attend classroom training, and travel to job sites. Pay starts at $37 per hour. Transit Campaign Volunteer – Connect Bay Area & Stronger Muni for All
Connect Bay Area and Stronger Muni for All, in partnership with SPUR, are seeking volunteers (18+) to support their 2026 ballot measure campaigns across San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. Volunteers will engage with the public to collect petition signatures from registered voters, briefly explain the measures, and submit completed petitions on time. These campaigns aim to secure long-term funding for regional transit systems including Bay Area Rapid Transit, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, Caltrain, and AC Transit. No prior experience is required; volunteers will receive a short training and all necessary materials, including petitions, instructions, and talking points. Flexible opportunities are available weekly for those interested in supporting public transit and civic engagement.

Connect Bay Area Paid Gatherer Program
Connect Bay Area is hiring paid signature gatherers, the applicants must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S. Main responsibilities is collect petition signatures in support of a transit funding measure; this flexible, part-time role pays $23–$30 per hour (based on performance) for up to 29 hours per week, and requires gatherers to average 10 signatures per hour, aim for at least 40 signatures most weeks, track and report daily hours, upload photos of completed signature packets to the system, and submit weekly timesheets and materials by the end of day Sunday, with payment issued every Thursday

826 Valencia Education Programs Internship
826 Valencia is hiring Education Programs Interns for Summer 2026 to support youth writing programs and help students in grades 3–12 in a nonprofit education setting. This is an unpaid internship for young people who want to gain teaching experience and are interested in working with kids. The internship takes place in person in San Francisco (Mission, Mission Bay, or Tenderloin) from June 15–July 31, with required training from June 15–19. Applicants must be 18+ and able to commit to a 3-, 4-, or 6-week schedule, with strong communication skills and an interest in education preferred. The application deadline is May 17 at 11:59 PM, with rolling interviews until positions are filled.

Dev/Mission's Pre-apprenticeship Program
This is a free tech pre-apprenticeship program in San Francisco for young adults ages 18–24 that prepares participants for careers in IT and software. The program includes hands-on training in IT essentials, computer hardware troubleshooting (A+ certification prep), introductory programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), IoT basics, and career skills like communication and workplace readiness, along with a 6-month tech mentorship. Classes run from 06/08 to 08/14 in person in San Francisco, and the registration period will close in mid-May 2026. Eligible applicants must be 18–24 years old and interested in building skills for entry into technology careers.

Black and BIPOC Early Educator Pre-Apprenticeship Program
The Adult Pathway of the Black and BIPOC Early Educator Pre-Apprenticeship Program is a San Francisco program that prepares young adults for careers in early childhood education. Participants receive training toward an Assistant Teacher Permit, earn college credits with tuition covered, and get academic and career support. Applicants must be ages 18 to 24 and interested in working in early childhood education. Applications are due in early spring 2026.

Clinic by the Bay Volunteer
Clinic by the Bay, is now looking for new volunteers! Volunteers are essential to the mission of Clinic by the Bay, providing compassionate, high-quality health care for low-income, uninsured adults while supporting meaningful civic engagement. This opportunity is open to individuals 18 years and older who can commit to at least six consecutive months, including two 4-hour shifts per month during the first three months of training, at least one shift per month after training, and three in-person training shifts. Volunteers must provide proof of a TB test within the last six months and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. No prior experience is required for roles such as reception, prescription assistance, and community outreach. Licensed medical providers and nurses must submit a valid California license, and providers must also agree to a background check.
